What is the Best Playset for Both Younger and Older Kids?

How Much Clearance Do I Need for My Playset?
We do recommend a minimum of a 6 ft. perimeter around all sides of your playset for safety, and for the playset to be installed on a resilient base. This allows for run-around room and clearance for lawn maintenance, without hitting the playset.
My Yard is Unlevel. Can you Accommodate for a Sloped Yard?
Yes, we can. All of our play sets are designed to adjust for some amount of slope. Though some of our play sets are more adjustable than others, our backyard experts are available to assess every situation.

Are There Certain Characteristics Of Wood That I Should Expect From A Playset?
The All-Natural Cedar wood will experience normal characteristics of wooden play equipment including minor surface checks (cracks), which are normal and will not affect the structural integrity and safety of your playset. As the 100% Solid Pacific Cedar wood that Playground One uses acclimates to your environment and the uncontrollable changes in weather, the factory-applied stain will wear over time, especially in higher traffic areas. To keep a wooden playset in good condition, inspect it regularly for loose hardware, excessive cracking, rot, insect damage, and splinters, and follow the manufacturer's recommendations for sealing, staining, and maintenance.
What Maintenance Is Required For My Playset?
To keep your playset in top condition, we recommend that you re-stain the set from time to time. Variables such as weather conditions and the amount of use will affect each set differently. In general, it is a good idea to re-stain the set every 1.5 to 2 years. Additionally, an annual or semi-annual inspection of the set to tighten any loose nuts is a good idea. Routine cleaning of the plastic components every few months will also reduce the amount of dirt and grime that can naturally occur on a structure that is outside in the elements.
What Type Of Safety Surfacing Do You Recommend?
Safety Surfacing is an option a lot of our families choose to place under the playsets. Some families choose wood mulch and wood borders, but a better alternative is the Rubber Mulch and Rubber Border options we offer.
